Poderi Moretti has a total extension of 38 hectares of which 19 of vineyard, while on the other hectares are planted orchards, hazelnut grove and forest. Our production aims to the enhancement of the finest appellation D.O.C and D.O.C.G of this area, in respect for the vocation of the territory, offering wines characterized by an identity strongly related to the land.
All our vignards have the “Guyot” pruning system and the “ prince” of the grape variety is Nebbiolo. It has dark berries and a late maturation, its harvest starts the first decade of October and from these grapes we produce the wine that takes the name of this unique land: the Roero D.O.C.G.
In addition to nebbiolo grapes, are cultivated also white grapes of the vine native called Arneis.
These two grape varieties occupy the almost all of the vignard’s surface of the Company, while a small part is represented by the production of Barbera grapes and other international varieties.
